Pricing, approval, the kit, and preparation — everything a team needs to know before its first K2 rental.
The short answer: yes, you can rent an XGRIDS Lixel K2 in Singapore. Volumet rents the K2 on weekly and project-based terms — from S$2,300 per week for dry rental (subject to approval), with guided onboarding available as an optional add-on. Equipment is available now; you send dates and project details, and availability and terms come back within one business day. The rest of this guide covers what that process actually looks like.
Teams considering their first handheld LiDAR rental: architects and contractors needing as-built data, interior designers capturing existing conditions, facilities teams documenting plant, media teams chasing 3DGS scenes, and product teams evaluating the technology. If you already rent scanners regularly, skip to the requirements section.
The K2 is XGRIDS’ flagship handheld SLAM LiDAR scanner: roughly 1.2 kg, capturing 200,000 points per second with real-time colourisation, built-in RTK for georeferenced outdoor work, and around 1 cm relative accuracy from SLAM capture. One walk through a building can yield a measurable point cloud, a reviewable mesh, and a photorealistic 3D Gaussian Splatting scene — depending on processing workflow.
Equipment only, for teams that know the workflow. Subject to approval: Volumet reviews your team’s experience with handheld SLAM scanners before confirming. You get the standard kit, basic handling guidance, and Singapore pickup or delivery.
The most-requested option, and the right call for first-timers. The same dry rental, with an optional guided onboarding add-on: a Zoom session covering setup, capture technique, file handling, and return requirements — plus workflow guidance during the rental. Most teams capture usable data within an hour of onboarding.
For teams testing the technology before a purchase or workflow decision. Project-specific quote, structured around the question you need answered.
Every rental is confirmed case by case. Expect to provide rental dates, project location, intended workflow (point cloud, Scan-to-BIM reference, digital twin, 3DGS), team experience level, and pickup or delivery preference. A security deposit may apply, insurance may be required for some profiles, and a rental agreement is signed before handover. Company, institutional, or serious project use is preferred.
A typical handover includes the scanner, batteries and charger, phone mount, storage, carry case, and capture/return checklists — confirmed item by item at handover. The same checklist runs in reverse at return.
A K2 rental is equipment access, not a scanning service. Accuracy depends on technique, site conditions, and processing; certified survey deliverables are a different scope entirely. If your specification demands them, raise it in the enquiry and the scope gets reviewed properly.
Send your project dates, site type, and intended workflow. We respond with availability, terms, and a quote within one business day.
