CORENET X reaches GFA ≥ 5,000m².

The 23 July 2026 circular (APPBCA-2026-12) set the 1 October 2026 mandate at GFA ≥ 5,000m², expressly including major addition and alteration works with an affected or replaced GFA of 5,000m² or more. Where an existing building interfaces with the new works, those elements must appear in the coordinated model. A scan is one route to that model.

Yes. Volumet is a Singapore 3D scanning and reality capture company. We capture buildings and sites with tripod laser scanners, handheld SLAM, and drone, and produce as-built drawings, Scan-to-BIM models, digital twins, and virtual tours from the same dataset.

How much do 3D scanning services cost in Singapore?

Scanning work is quoted per project. The cost drivers are floor area, site access and occupancy, the level of detail required, and which deliverables you need. Send the address, the approximate area, and what the output is for, and we return a scoped quote within one business day.

How accurate is a 3D scan?

A tripod scanner resolves to roughly 4 mm at 10 m per station. Handheld SLAM holds about 1 cm relative accuracy within 10 m, which suits floor plans, as-built verification, and BIM reference. The method is chosen against the tolerance the deliverable needs.

What do I receive at the end of a scan?

Registered point clouds in E57, LAS, LAZ, or RCP; as-built floor plans, elevations, sections, and RCPs in DWG and PDF; Revit or IFC models at an agreed LOD; and digital twins, 3D Gaussian Splatting scenes, or virtual tours. One capture supports whichever combination you need.

Can a scan support a CORENET X or IFC+SG submission?

From 1 October 2026 the mandate applies at GFA ≥ 5,000m², expressly including major addition and alteration works with an affected or replaced GFA of 5,000m² or more. Submitting a coordinated model for an existing building that has no model means capturing it first, and Scan-to-BIM delivers Revit or IFC at an agreed LOD. A scan is one route to that model.

Do you still rent 3D scanners?

Yes. Equipment rental and sales remain a service line alongside the scanning work. The Lixel K2, K1, and L2 Pro, PortalCam, Matterport Pro3, Leica BLK360 G2, Leica RTC360, and Trimble X12 are all available, with the Lixel K2 from S$2,300 per week. Renters operate the equipment and produce their own outputs.

Do you work outside Singapore?

Singapore is the primary service area. Southeast Asia enquiries are considered case-by-case, depending on logistics and project risk.
